John Cullen
Hi, I’m John Cullen and I have over 15 years of ROI driven marketing experience. I specialize in strategy, advertising & promotions as well as sales channel development for startups, mid-sized companies and the Fortune 500.
I’ve had marketing positions with Heinz, Liberty Media, Chock Full O’ Nuts Coffee and Saputo Cheese. I’ve led the strategic development and execution of multi-million dollar ad campaigns for brands like Pounce Cat Treats, Frigo, Stella and Lorraine cheeses, Chock Full O’ Nuts Coffee and Zoombak GPS Trackers.
Most recently, I launched the Zoombak GPS Tracker and brought this whitepaper concept to reality by achieving distribution in over 15,000 retail doors including Best Buy, Radio Shack, Target, Sears and many others. I was the second employee hired to lead the start-up, so I created the launch plan, hired the sales team and developed the initial rep network. I was also responsible for the development of the packaging, pricing, website, consumer & trade ads and media plan. Zoombak was recently sold to Securus, Inc.
Right now, I’m the VP of Marketing at JW Pet Company – a leading pet products manufacturer. I’m hard at work leading JW’s marketing efforts to become the #1 brand in the $2 billion Dog Toy Category. I’m making progress!
I also own the pet marketing agency Bulldog Marketing & Sales, Inc., a strategic marketing and sales consultancy specializing in the Pet Industry. I wrote the famous whitepaper, ‘Confessions of a Pet Product Marketer’, www.bulldogms.com/confessions and created the critically acclaimed webinar by the same name.
I’ve been described as a “Marketing & Sales Bulldog”, a “Marketing Army of One” and as the “Don Draper of the Pet Industry”.
I was named in the Pet Industry’s Top 25 to Watch for 2011 by Pet Product News.
I have a BBA and MBA from CUNY, Baruch College. I’m Certified in SEO, SEM and Inbound Marketing.
