John Cullen, Principal, Bulldog Marketing & Sales, Inc.

I have over 15 years of ROI driven marketing experience. I specialize in strategy, advertising, and promotions.  I also specialize in sales channel development for startups, mid-sized companies, and the Fortune 500.

I’ve held marketing positions with Heinz, Liberty Media, Chock Full O’ Nuts Coffee, JW Pet Company, and Saputo Cheese. I’ve led the strategic development and execution of multi-million dollar ad campaigns for brands like Pounce Cat Treats, Frigo, Stella and Lorraine cheeses, Chock Full O’ Nuts Coffee, and Zoombak GPS Trackers.

Most recently, I led the branding effort for JW Pet Company Inc., www.jwpet.com. This included creating their new packaging, website, Facebook page, and blog. In addition, I developed a marketing plan that included large scale account specific in-store promotions with external media support (20MM+ consumer impressions). The results were a huge incremental buy-in, merchandising support, and ultimately double digit sales gains.

Right now I am focusing on my strategic marketing and sales consultancy, Bulldog Marketing & Sales, Inc.  Bulldog specializes in the Pet Industry but also has CPG and Consumer Electronics experience. Bulldog allows smaller organizations access to top marketing talent without the huge overhead. Essentially, it can become the outsourced marketing department for smaller organizations for less than the cost of a part-time college student. Call toll-free 855-456-4738 for a FREE consult.

I’ve been described as a “Marketing & Sales Bulldog”, a “Marketing Army of One” and as the “Don Draper of the Pet Industry”.  I was named in the Pet Industry’s Top 25 to Watch for 2011 by Pet Product News. I have an MBA from CUNY Baruch College and I’m Certified in SEO, Social Media, and Inbound Marketing.
